Alma Cruceros, a new Spanish operator, is the charterer of SunStone Group's Ocean Victory for summer Mediterranean service.

As Seatrade Cruise News earlier reported, the ship is chartered for 10 summer seasons starting in 2025.

It had recently spent the northern summers in Alaska on charter to American Queen Voyages, which ceased operations. Albatros Expeditions operates the ship in Antarctica in the austral summer.

Luxury cruises for Spanish-speakers

Málaga-based Alma Cruceros aims to offer a luxury product with service in Spanish in all areas. Itineraries are planned to include Spanish Mediterranean destinations as well as north and west Africa and the Canary Islands.

According to Spanish media, Malága businessman Elisardo Sánchez, the founder of Alma Cruceros, is targeting not just Spaniards but particularly Spanish-speakers from the Americas with customized cuisine, entertainment and Spanish-speaking crew.
