Jill Whelan, who played Vicki Stubing in 'The Love Boat,' was on board Royal Princess in Sydney Monday for a ‘love at sea’ event, ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Whelan, Princess Cruises' celebrations ambassador who last visited Australia more than 40 years ago, said she is ‘excited’ so many Australians are experiencing romance on the company’s cruise ships and are planning Princess Perfect Weddings.

Huge increase in bookings

There has been a 127% increase in wedding ceremony bookings and an 83% increase in the number of ceremonies performed at sea from 2022 to 2023.

SVP Asia Pacific, UK & Europe Stuart Allison said in the current high cost-of-living climate, these weddings at sea are giving Australians a more cost-effective way to celebrate their wedding day.

‘Booking a wedding with Princess Cruises has never been more affordable and accessible than it is today,’ Allison said.

‘Our Princess Perfect Wedding packages are less than half the price of an Australian wedding, ranging from A$4,468 to A$9,689, and include everything you need to make the day remarkable.’

Wedding specialist

He said Princess Cruises has a dedicated wedding specialist who organises everything from fresh floral arrangements, photographs and music to a freshly baked wedding cake.
