Categories

A Seatrade Insider Cruise Award will be presented to companies, organisations or individuals in the following categories:

Turnaround Port of the Year (a port authority/port management co) which has made significant improvements to its turnaround facilities/cruise-tourism infrastructure over the past 12 months*) 


Transit Port of the Year (a port authority/port management co) which has made significant improvements to its handling facilities/cruise-tourism infrastructure over the past 12 months*) 


Destination of the Year (a region/tourism body/association) which has made significant strides in promoting cruise-tourism over the past 12 months*)


Onboard Supplier of the Year (hotel and/or technical) to any firm or individual who has provided an exceptional quality service, or product or innovation to the cruise lines over the past 12 months* 


Environmental Initiative Award to any company, organisation or individual who has made a notable contribution to advance any environmental aspect of cruising


Technology Innovation Award to any firm or individual for an innovative project (related to IT, computers, software, electronics, the Internet, and wireless technology etc) which has the potential to significantly improve the efficiency and/or productivity of any aspect of the cruise business


Innovative Shorex Award of the Year to any company or individual who has created, sourced or introduced an innovative shore excursion over the past 12 months* 


Seatrade North European Cruise Personality of the Year  – Seatrade to select winner based on nominations received


Seatrade Insider Sea-going Employee of the Year  for an on-board staff member who has made a notable contribution to the running of his or her company’s business in past 12 months*. Seatrade Insider readers to select winner based on nominations received.


*For the purposes of the past 12 months for the 2009 Awards scheme this encompasses 1.8.08 to 31.7.09. 

2008 winners of each category are exempt from entering the 2009 Awards scheme in that specific category.
